 Dealing with an addiction can be very scary.  Here is a list of some of the substance abuse groups in the greater Boston Area. These groups are not only for the people suffering from the addiction, but also support for the families and friends effected.

 
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

 

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is an organization designed to help those who admittedly have a problem with alcohol. There are several different groups for AA, including Al-Anon, 12 Step Program, and Big Book Meetings.

Narcotics Anonymous (NA) started to help people who have addictions to narcotics. A narcotic is A substance that affects the central nervous system and is often addictive: drug, hallucinogen, opiate.
